Weekend Recap

Like everyone else we spent most of the weekend outside.  The weather was fabulous - cooler than normal temperatures here in the desert so we have been enjoying it!  Mr. ESPN took Friday off and painted our guest bedroom (grayish blue) and our master bedroom (greenish khaki).  I assisted with our bedroom and quickly remembered why painting isn't my most favorite project - I love the results but it is hard work and we have very high ceilings. It turned out well and lucky for me Mr. ESPN enjoys doing it.

Saturday my friend Brooke came over to help me put together this cake for my neighbor's 8th birthday:
Can you tell what it is???

Someone wanted to pose with the masterpiece
Brooke and the girls with our model -
Chatty's I-Touch.

As you can tell we started making up our own applications.  It took us awhile to make the first few.  No we didn't have an Angry Birds icon as I forgot to make brown fondant!

Between baking and painting I think I am ready for another three day weekend so I can relax!  Good thing we are headed to the beach in less than two weeks!  We can't wait.  Between now and then - work, soccer and more soccer!
