Birthday Recap and Picture Overload

Since we went to Disneyland over Spring Break, Mr. ESPN and I decided we would not be throwing a birthday party for the girls - that was their party.  But somehow Chatty seemed to get a whole weekend of celebrating.  I'm still trying to figure out how she accomplished that.

The festivities started on Saturday.  Chatty requested ribs for dinner.  So her lovely servants (aka Mom and Dad) got busy and grilled some ribs and made some cupcakes.  It wouldn't have been a celebration if our favorite neighbors weren't there ...

Chatty and JR

After dinner Chatty requested to go to Dave and Buster's.  If you don't know what Dave and Buster's is, think over sized arcade with a bar in the middle.  It was loud and expensive (both the games and the adult beverages), but the kids seemed to have fun when they weren't fighting over who got to play what.

The next morning we headed to church with cupcakes in tow.  Because what's Sunday school without cupcakes right?  Afterwards we met Nana and Poppa at our favorite pizza place (yes this is a birthday tradition at our house) for lunch and birthday pizzookie.

So was it over yet?  No - now time for her actual birthday ... Monday.  Here she is bed head and all opening up a few small presents.  She received an I-Pod Touch from Nana and Poppa, Grandma and Grandpa and Mr. ESPN and me (we gave it to her on Sunday at lunch with Nana and Poppa).  She is obsessed with it!  Kind of like Mr. ESPN and his I-Phone!

Are you all tired yet?  I was - I volunteered in Chatty's class and stayed for lunch and took cookies in for a treat.  After school I took the girls to the pediatrician for their well checks and Port of Subs for dinner (Chatty's  choice).  Monday night our favorite neighbors came back over for Peeps birthday cake.

Remember how I said in my last post I hadn't eaten sugar in the past week or so ... didn't even lick my fingers when I made the cupcakes or cake ... well I couldn't help it I had to have a small piece (and it was oh so good - moist yellow cake and homemade chocolate butter cream frosting)!  Now I feel like I am starting all over!  Good thing birthdays are done in our house for awhile, now if I can get my kids and Mr. ESPN to finish off all of the leftovers I will be good!

Look Who's 7!!

7 years ago it was Easter Sunday. Mr. ESPN and I were supposed to be hosting Easter dinner for my parents and our friends.  However those plans were changed because this person decided it was time to make her first appearance!

1 month old

You were kind enough to your dad to wait until the Master's Tournament was over to arrive - much to his delight!

Chatty you keep us on our toes every single day.  You are a loving, smart, talkative and stubborn (so much like your mama that it is scary sometimes!) and your dad and I love you more than anything in this world.  Thank you for teaching us that being a parent is the hardest and best job in the world!  We love you Lacey Lou!

excuse the goofy grin ...

Birthday pics coming soon ....

Hello Friday ...

Oh how I have missed you.  It has been another long week here in the ESPN house.  Here's a recap ...
  • Chatty lost her library book again - this is her second one this year.  She has been informed she will be paying for it with her own money if she doesn't find it at school today.
  • Bia is a HOT MESS .. extremely demanding and so adorable all at the same time.  Lord help me!
  • I mailed a soccer refund check to the wrong address (Yeah Dumb Me!).  I went over to the house I accidentally mailed it to, to try and explain (I even took Bia so I would look more legit) but they weren't home.  I guess I will try going over tomorrow.
  • I haven't had any sweets in over a week ... but I have inhaled mass quantities of almonds and spinach salads!  They're not nearly as good but the scale has been much friendlier.
  • Co-irker as my co-worker aptly named Clipper Guy got his clippers unglued when I was in NJ the other week.  So when I got back in town last week I threw them in the garbage (in the women's restroom).  On Tuesday he was rummaging - actually it was more like a dog rooting through his drawer looking for them.  So far he hasn't brought another pair in but if he does they are heading straight for the trash.
  • Chatty turns 7 on Monday ... every day she gets up and tells me "Mom my birthday is in (insert number) days!"  And I respond "Really?" Some day when she has kids she will realize it is very hard to forget the day they were born ... that and it was the final round of the Master's.  Chatty was sweet enough to stall her arrival until after the Master's ended that Easter Sunday so Mr. ESPN wouldn't have to turn the television off too early!
  • Speaking of which Mr. ESPN will be watching the Master's this weekend in between family birthday celebrations.
  • Bia snuck silly bands into school yesterday and when Mr. ESPN confiscated them she had a royal fit!
  • Chatty lied to me about syrup on her shorts.  She has this habit of ordering breakfast at school, which Mr. ESPN has instructed her not to do (he can see it on her online account) because she eats breakfast at home, takes an early morning snack with her, plus she has a snack in class during the late morning.  So the other day I noticed she had syrup on her shorts (and she had eaten her breakfast at home in her PJ's) and she lied about how it got there ...
  • So right now we have a petite thief with a tendency for tantrums and a liar who likes to talk back in our house.  Is that why they invented wine?
  • I am thinking of making this cake for Chatty's birthday.  I think it is super cute.
Peeps Sunflower Cake Recipe

OK - that's about it.  Next week I'll post birthday pics ... have a good weekend!

This Week

Bad Hair Day + Nothing to Wear = Grumpy Me!

Ugh - I have been in a funk/bad mood all week, much to the delight of my family I am sure!  There are just too many commitments, not enough sleep, etc.  Something has gotta give, but what I am not sure.  I am so ready for this week to be over.  Thank goodness it is Thursday.  To top it all off I leave for Atlanta on Sunday for a conference.  Maybe a few days away is what I need since part of my funk/bad mood is caused by the other people in my house (what can I say, I am honest)!

Speaking of those people, Chatty has a report to do on an animal and their habitat.  They were able to choose an animal from one of the following habitats: prairie, forest (not rain forest though), underground and pond.  So what does she choose??  Bet you will never guess ... CATFISH!  Random yes but she swears she loves them since my parents have a small one in a a fish tank at their house (long story).  So we started researching and all we could find was stuff on mammoth catfish that can eat people whole ... ummm no.  With much discussion and argument (she's a stubborn one like her mamma), we finally helped her choose a different animal ... the Bald Eagle!  Way cooler and much easier to research.  She has to write a report, cite her resources, make a poster/diagram/etc. and present it all in class next week (all in 1st grade).  I don't care what the stupid polls say, she is getting a top notch education and it is a public school!!

She completed her outline and wrote her report (I was so proud of her - she worked so hard on it).  We even sketched how she wants the poster to look.  I told her I would help her get her poster completed on Saturday so Mr. ESPN doesn't have to worry about it next week while I am gone.  He and Bia can just listen to her practice her presentation (can you picture it???  I am sure Bia will be interrupting every 5 seconds).

Ok - off to get a Diet Coke ... that will surely improve my mood!!

A little Behind

I can't seem to get ahead this week - or any week for that matter.  It's Thursday already and this is the first time I have posted this week.  Not sure what I have been up to (work, sick Bia, soccer, etc.) but I haven't had much time to blog and/or post pictures.

Last weekend we were supposed to have our good friends (AZCottrells) over to watch the GO CATS (as Chatty refers to them) pound the Huskies. Unfortunately Bia woke up with a fever on Friday that lasted through part of Sunday. So instead of getting together for the game we cheered them on in separate places and Mr. ESPN and Matt texted each other during the game!  Afterwards we had a family night of Wii bowling.

Chatty started out happy and dressed for I am not sure what

Then she started losing and looked like this
And this

This is how Mr. ESPN bowls

Bia can now bowl (yes another fashionista in the house)

"Come on Strike"

"Woo Hoo I got a strike!!"

Puppy played too

Sunday we celebrated our neighbor's 3rd birthday ... the weather was a little cool (for desert standards) but we had a great time.  Luckily Bia was feeling better and was able to join in on the party ...

Check out that concentration

Bia showed her silly faces

All in all a pretty good weekend - especially since we had Monday off!  This weekend - lots of soccer practice and a Girls Night for me on Saturday night!

Thoughtless Thursday

Not much going on around here (hence the reason I haven't posted all week) - just the usual chaos that is our life.
  • Yesterday we had a high of 42 degrees with 20 mph winds.  Needless to say soccer practice was COLD for us here in the desert!  Speaking of which, one kid shows up in shorts, t-shirt and thin little hoodie!  For pete's sake - can't her parents figure out how to dress her warmly - a little common sense people!
  • Another note from soccer - I was so cold I took my scarf and wrapped it around my head and then my neck.  I looked like someone from the Middle East ... my friend was cracking up (it was quite the site)!  You do what you gotta do right?
  • I have to go to NJ for work on Sunday ... nice right?  Lovely, snowy, cold NJ in February!  And I won't be able to thaw out until Friday when I return to the desert (yes I know some of you live in cold places but I am from FL and have only lived in FL and AZ ... my body isn't programmed for extended bouts of cold weather).
  • My kids were up and dressed by 5:45 am this morning.  The early rising gene did NOT come from me!
  • Karma will bite you in the a**.  In the middle of the night Chatty came in complaining she had a nightmare.  I told her she was fine and go back to bed.  Then I fell back asleep and had a nightmare!  Note to self - next time Chatty has a nightmare at least offer to tuck her back in bed.
  • I took my first Zumba class on Monday night with my friend L.  It was fun and funny!  I mean really funny when I looked at myself in the mirror during class!
  • I asked Mr. ESPN if he wanted me to make any food for he and the girls to eat next week while I am gone.  Chatty answers and says "Brownies", I say "OK, what else?"  Chatty says "Cookies!"  She's my kind of girl!
  • Bia has no concept of time.  Last night I told her I was leaving on a plane on Sunday and two minutes later she says, you leave tomorrow? (mmm ... depends on how you and Chatty behave)
  • I don't think I took any pictures during the month of January.  Note to self - take some!
  • Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday ... I am bailing out early so I can get some provisions for my adventure to the blustery northeast!

Honestly ...

(yes I copied this idea from someone else's blog)
  • Is it possible for your child to be described as an Angel at school and then be the complete opposite anything less than angelic at home?  I had a wonderful parent teacher conference with Chatty's teacher.  She was gushing about how smart, sweet, eager, etc. she was.  Her first words to me were "Chatty is an Angel in class!"  Honestly?
  • Was it necessary to to make our new Children's Hospital look like the Rio Hotel in Vegas on the outside?  The red lights change to different colors of the rainbow as they go up and down (you can see the purple on the bottom).  While I am all for spending money on a top notch children's hospital, I have a slight issue with the excess that was undoubtedly spent on this part.  Especially since this is the same hospital who at one time sent me a letter saying they no longer accepted our insurance even though they accept people without insurance!  I am not bitter - Honestly!
(this was the best pic I could find since I didn't whip my phone out
while I was driving on the freeway this morning at 6:15 am)
  • It is possible for you to not lose weight while training for a half-marathon and in fact you can even gain weight while training.  Honestly!
  • Can one kid leave school early two days in one week and be completely healthy?  Earache on Monday - 1 1/2 hour doctor visit later = nothing wrong.  Vomit in dance class on Wednesday - go home = nothing wrong.  Bia are you looking for some attention, honestly (Bia loves her school - honestly!)?
  • I may be more excited about going to Disneyland than my kids.  Yep - Honestly I am!  Probably because I get to see one of my most favorite cousins and hopefully meet Casey!
  • I told Chatty I needed a 4 day vacation from her bad attitude.  Honestly! (not sure why I said 4 day but in the heat of the moment it sounded good).
  • I wore jeans to work today (we're only supposed to wear jeans on Fridays).  But because my boss is in another state and no one in my department works in this building I decided to do it (and because secretly I am a rebel).  Honestly!

Chatty the Author

Chatty brought this home from school today.  She wrote it last week.  Please excuse the grammatical errors and lack of periods (I copied it verbatim).

"One day mommy and I went shopping.  I had to go to the bathroom and my mom was going to be very mad at me.  Then I told my mom she was mad at me and she said no I told you to go at home you can not go here at all and you can go when you get home OK Lacey.  OK mommy.  It took so long that I did not go in my pants and I almost went in my pants.  I told my mom I have to go so bad I almost went in my pants and my mom said OK and do you know where the girls bathroom is yes mommy I do know where it is mommy it is down the hall."

Lovely huh?  And parent/teacher conferences are next week!  I guess it's better than her writing about how I like to drink Bud Light, right??

Self Esteem

Bia to Poppa on the phone last week: "Poppa you come watch me dance (she takes a class once a week at her daycare - dance and yoga)."
Poppa: "I would love to see you dance, tell me when."
Bia: "You get in your car and take me to school and watch me dance.  The you tell me I great!"

Chatty had a double header this past weekend.  She scored one goal in the first game and two in the second.

As you can see we don't have any self-esteem issues in our house!

Randomness at the ESPN House

Nothing exciting to report from the ESPN house ... Chatty was almost sold to the highest bidder three nights in a row (darn homework and sassy mouth), but she redeemed herself last night after I pulled out the big guns - no not my sculpted biceps, rather the promise of not going to our neighbors for a party tomorrow night and missing the opportunity to ride the school bus tomorrow.  She did an awesome job last night so let's pray (a lot) that she does well tonight too - which is questionable since we have soccer practice to add to the mix.  Speaking of soccer, I think this Team Finance Mgr could seriously be a part time job - what the heck was I thinking???

Mr. ESPN said Bia's internal clock is out of whack.  She wakes up when I am in the shower (between 5:00 and 5:30 am) during the week and climbs in our bed.  She is quiet and usually dozes back off so I am ok with it.  Plus she has quit bringing her entire entourage (aka hoards of stuffed animals) and limits herself to one blankie and one animal, so I really can't complain.  She is obsessed with Band-aids and it's getting expensive.  The other night I found her up on the counter in the medicine cabinet trying to get one (or three Band-aids) for her imaginary boo-boos.  Needless to say the Band-aids have been moved to a locked drawer.

This weekend Chatty and Bia are having a sleepover at Nana and Poppa's.  I am not sure who is more excited - Chatty, Bia, Me, Mr. ESPN or Poppa (yes Nana enjoys having them too!).  Mr. ESPN and I will be celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary (yes we were oh so young when we got married!) on Sunday - alone!  Hallelujah!  If I was a good wife I would have tried to think of a gift prior to 3 days before the big day, but I didn't.  Usually we don't get each other anniversary gifts but I think he is buying me a watch (because I lost mine last month and he didn't have to think of something to get me since he knew I needed a new one) so that makes me want to get him something too.  I just looked it up and it said the traditional gift is silk/linen, which is not very Mr. ESPN.    We'll see what happens.

College football starts this week!! Yeah!!

Conversations with Chatty

It's amazing how conversations with Chatty can drive me to tears ...

Yesterday afternoon ... screaming at me "You are wasting my time, I am ready to read now ... you never let me do anything fun.  Only Bia gets to do fun stuff ... I can't take this anymore ... I don't want to go to my room ... I hate reading ...." (this went on forever for 30 minutes or more yesterday afternoon)

Last week in the car ... "Mommy I really miss Pap-pa Little (my grandfather who passed away last year). Remember when we went to visit him to say goodbye? We have that picture of me with him on the fridge. We should always leave it there so we remember him. He is in heaven with God now like an angel."

Chatty's Prayers

As parents we try to instill certain values in our children and teach them certain things.  One of the things Mr. ESPN and I are trying to teach Chatty is about God.  Many times I wonder if we are getting through to her (and if we are good examples but that's a whole other post).  The other night she got into trouble and was sent to bed early (according to Chatty no one goes to bed that early).  She was whining and complaining and telling me she wasn't tired.  I walked into my room to read a book and could hear her talking.

Being the nosy curious person that I am, I walked out of my room and into the hallway and eavesdropped on listened to Chatty praying to God.  While sobbing she says "God please make my parents nice to me so they will let me play Wii and V-Smile."  So now God knows I am a mean parent too!  It didn't help my cause that when she caught me eavesdropping listening I was busting up laughing.  Another reason why I won't be a finalist for the MOTY award!

This Week

This week:
  • I did not find out anything about the "job" at corporate and a potential offer
  • I ran 14.5 miles - 7 of them on Wednesday which resulted in chaffing and a big blister
  • I ran into a friend from college at Total Wine and looked like crap (went after working out - it wasn't pretty) plus I had Bia with me.  It was a total "You have a baby in a bar" Sweet Home Alabama moment (kind of).  Lucky for me college friend had his son with him too so I didn't look (well I did look bad) too bad
  • I have had a sinus headache for the last two days ... a glass of wine didn't help ... and neither did screaming kids ... maybe I need a second glass?
  • Chatty started using the phrase "What the" - with no H word - WTH
  • Bia got into trouble, when I asked her what she did wrong she told me she could not talk, it's cute annoying
  • I went to make tacos and had no taco seasoning.  I googled it and made a homemade version.  Chatty said it smelled great - she loves tacos
  • I decided I am addicted to HGTV - specifically House Hunters and House Hunters International ... Buying NY is awesome too
And next week Chatty graduates from Kindergarten ...

My Philly Phanatic(s)

Last week Mr. ESPN told me he got four tickets to the Phillies vs. Diamondbacks baseball game.  I said, "Great who's going with you and Chatty?"  He told me if I wanted to go I could come along with Bia.  Nice offer huh - a baseball game with a three year who doesn't have any desire to sit and watch a game and Mr. ESPN wanted to stay for fireworks after the game - no thank you!  I opted out and told him to take his buddy across the street and his son.  Of course Chatty was ecstatic about going with JR and his dad (I think Mr. ESPN was just as excited to go with JR's dad too!).  Mr. ESPN is from the Philly area and is a huge Phillies fan and so is Chatty - so they decked out in all their Philly gear ... they had a great time even though the Phillies lost!

Before the game with JR

I am not sure what they are doing here ....
probably annoying the men in front of them

Doesn't every dad want to bond with their daughter at a sporting event?

You can tell I wasn't there -
I would have fixed her hair before this pic was taken

Fun Day

Chatty had her Kindergarten Fun Day last Friday.  For us old people it was what we used to call Field Day.  Chatty had fun and we had some perfect sunny weather for the festivities.

Future Track Star??  Maybe if she take after her cousin C
While she was running all the boys were chanting "Chatty, Chatty .."
I guess she already has a fan club with the boys!

Parachute Time

Future Running Back or Wide Receiver??

A little tug of war ... the parents even joined in on this one
Obstacle course
Dancing - doesn't every field day include the "Cha-cha Slide"?

Kindergarten buddies

Roller thingies ... not sure what they are but they loved them
The boy in the corner of this last picture asked me to walk him to the bathroom at one point.  Very politely I might add.  Anyway on the way there he says "Chatty likes to chase me on the playground."  I said, "Oh that's nice, she loves to run and play at recess."  Then he says "Chatty likes to give me lots of hugs on the playground too!" Umm really ... wasn't sure what to say at that point!  I asked her about it in the car and at first she denied it and then fessed up .. what are we going to do when she is a teenager??

Not Their Finest Moments

Our family has not had their finest moments this week... it all started with me losing it with Chatty Monday night. Shortly after that incident Mr. ESPN walks in looking like he got into a fight. He was at the gym and someone left the treadmill on ... unfortunately for Mr. ESPN he assumed it was off (i.e. wasn't paying attention too closely). Let's just say the treadmill won and he got a nice shiner just below the eye which turned into a slight black eye the following morning. He also scraped his leg, shoulder, etc. Not his finest moment! I felt so bad for him (and usually I don't feel too sorry for him). Luckily he was just a little banged up, mostly he was embarrassed! I told him at least it wasn't his regular time slot at the gym so hopefully those people won't be there when he works out. Sadly the more times I tell the story the funnier it gets! I know that isn't nice but I am being honest.

Tuesday at lunch I got a call from Chatty's teacher. Apparently Chatty hit a friend at school ... not her finest moment either. When I asked why she chose to hit her friend she said "My brain wasn't working". Needless to say she and I spent some quality one on one time together Tuesday afternoon discussing her behavior and subsequent punishment. I told her if there are certain friends that cause her brain not to work, then she can't hang out with them. I also made her write an apology note to the girl and one to her teacher for her actions. I feel like we take two steps forward and one step back each week!

Last but certainly not least Sweet Little Bia ... yesterday was not her finest moment unless you were trying to give an award for Crankiest Toddler of the Year! She had a fit all morning - screaming, crying, whining, tantrum throwing, you name it at home, on the way to school, at school (before Mr. ESPN left), at the end of school, and at home in the evening again. It was a bad day all around for her. Good thing she is cute!

Did you family experience some of their finest moments this week? If so what were they?

Conversations with Chatty and Trying to Be a Good Mommy

Last night on the way home from swim lessons Chatty announces "I'm so smart ... God made me so smart."  No self esteem problems here, but maybe we should spend a little more time on humility, just a thought.

Once we got home Miss Smartypants couldn't remember how to follow directions which resulted in a lot of yelling by me.  I am not proud of this and apologized later to the girls.  I told Chatty as I tucked her in that I will try to be a better mommy today if she can try to follow directions a little better today.  She agreed and all was well.  Fast forward to this morning when she wasn't following directions again ... In a stern voice (I wasn't yelling this time ... I was trying to be calm) I told her she needed to get her teeth brushed and clothes on.  She says to me "I thought you were going to be a nicer mommy today!"  God did make her very smart, so much so that she has figured out how to push every single one of my buttons!

Sweet Chatty

This morning I had a 6:00 am conference call at work, which meant I had to be out the door by 5:40 am (that's just plain crazy) which also meant Mr. ESPN had to get the girls up and ready for school on his own - no small feat, but one I am sure he can handle.  Their hair may be a little wild but they will get there in one piece.  So as I am running out the door and heading to the garage, I hear the laundry room door open and it is Chatty.  Sleep eyed she says "Mom - I am sorry I woke up late and couldn't kiss you goodbye!" - so sweet.  I reassured her it was extra early and she should go back to bed for a little bit longer and kissed my sleepy/wild hair/sweet girl!  Sometimes they really know how to melt your heart!  Please remind me of this next time she is driving me crazy!

Kindergarten is TOUGH!

For Parents ... It has been a tough week for Mr. ESPN and me.  Miss Chatty has had less than stellar behavior at Boys and Girls Club (BGC).  I got a call on Tuesday afternoon that she had "hit" one of the staff.  Apparently she "hit" the staff on her arm (per Chatty to get her attention to tell her something).  The staff explained why it was wrong and asked her not to do it again.  A short while later when they were in the gym, Chatty ran over to her and basically "tackled" the same staff member while she was crouched down speaking to another child.  Since this was her second incident that afternoon she was escorted to the director's office for "time out" and on the way there Chatty screamed "No" and hit the staff on the arm.  What do you say to the director when they call to tell you something like that?  I was shocked and upset and a lot of other things.  I assured the Director we would address the issue with Chatty and to please let me know if anything else happened.  She was very nice about the whole thing but still I was mortified.

Mr. ESPN and I spoke with Chatty about it and strictly informed her she is to keep her hands to herself at all times - no touching anyone!  So do you think it worked - ummm NO!  Yesterday I get home and Mr. ESPN tells me Chatty pushed a kid and he hit his head on the wall (he was fine).  She claimed she was pushed first.  While I want to believe her, I am having a hard time because she tends to fabricate lie some of her stories.  So I explained to her that if someone pushes you then you tell them not to and walk away.  If they do it again then you tell the staff.  If she has one more incident she will have the equivalent of in BGC suspension, the one after that out of BGC suspension (similar to in school and out of school suspension).  What the heck is going on her in head?  I tried to convey the seriousness of her actions to her last night and this morning and told her how much I love her but that I am disappointed in her behavior choices.  I feel like I keep saying the same old thing and it isn't working.  We have taken away pretty much everything for a week (Wii, stuffed animals, blankies, books, you name it) and she will be missing a birthday party this weekend.  I just don't know where to go from here.

After dropping Chatty off this morning I kept thinking what are we doing wrong - is she going to be one of those kids with issues and appears on America's Most Wanted someday?  Is it because I work outside the home and don't spend enough time with her (if I was home full time I am sure she would have other issues)?  While I sincerely think she is old enough to understand the consequences for the decisions she makes I still can't help but feel partially fully responsible.  No one told me Kindergarten was going to be this tough!

A Lot of Nothing Exciting

A bunch of random ramblings ...

Not much to report from ESPN land.  Bia is home sick with Mr. ESPN today.  She has a cold/fever.  She seems to be doing pretty well but is in an extra cuddly mood.  I love when she is this way.  Last night we fell asleep in my bed cuddling (Mr. ESPN put her in her bed after she was asleep) and then this morning after she woke up she came in to cuddle with her daddy!  Too cute.

Completed my first sewing project last weekend.  Since my children (namely Bia) seem to knock closet doors off the tracks, we took hers down.  I bought some fabric from IKEA and made some curtains to put up instead.  I accidentally cut the second one too short, but it isn't that noticeable (by novice sewers like me).  I was surprised that it turned out as well as it did.  I thought I was going to have to ask my mom to finish it for me.  Now I need to think of another project.  Chatty says she wants some on her closet too ... we'll see.

Chatty and I had a conversation this morning about staying away from Mr. X at school and making good decisions.  I am hoping (and praying) she does.  I hope this isn't an omen to what it will be like with boys when she is in highschool!  Ugh!

Mr. ESPN and I are going to a party on Saturday night at a rooftop lounge in chic Scottsdale and I have nothing to wear.  Does anyone want to volunteer and be my personal stylist?  I looked for a new top last weekend to wear and just felt frustrated.  My friend Mrs. Kingston was lamenting on her work wardrobe last week and how bored she is with it.  I feel the same way about my entire wardrobe.  I need some help.  Especially with accessorizing ... so needless to say I will probably be the most un-chic person at the party!

I need to take some pictures .. I haven't taken any in several weeks .. OK back to work it's tax package time ... aren't y'all excited for me?
